Highters Heath Nursery School
At Highters Heath Nursery School, our aim is to provide an environment that enables to children to become happy, confident, and capable, whilst experiencing the joy of learning.
We offer early years provision for children of 2 to 4 years, ahead of their admission to Primary School. Highters Heath Nursery School is a community where both children and adults thrive and are supported. We believe that all children have the right to the best possible early experiences and work to nurture their self esteem and to develop a love of learning. We believe that young children learn most effectively through play and active learning and provide the ideal environment to enable them to do this. Additionally, we build strong partnerships with parents, staff and children and aim to fully involve parents in the education of their child.
Highters Heath Nursery School opened in 1947 and has been providing high quality, early childhood education for nearly 80 years. We have maintained our Ofsted 'Good' grade for our most recent inspection which was completed in April 2024.
We are proud of our reputation as a highly inclusive school; we nurture the development of the whole child, and celebrate their differences and diversities. The nursery school provides an exciting, stimulating and carefully structured environment, which gives children the confidence to undertake new challenges. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, which lays a firm foundation for our children's futures.
